Brando really saw through all the nonsense of Hollywood. He was a genius.
Hi you must have not seen his movies to make such a statement. Brando had the ability to become the roles he was playing while most of the actors are playing themselves no matter what roles they are playing. His talent was instantly noticed by Broadway elite when he just arrived in New York City as an acting student. He was and is still the best actor ever. Besides, who can deny this man is incredibly sexy, manly. Once I knew this great guy, I would hope I could have been born in his time.
Actually, the seventies constituted a decade of Western revisionism that often portrayed Native Americans positively or sympathetically, including Clint Eastwood’s two directorial Westerns in the decade, “High Plains Drifter” (1973) and “The Outlaw Josey Wales” (1976). I don’t mind Brando doing what he did, but he wasn’t making those films at that time.
