He seems like one of the most grounded people
Uncooperative for the purpose of the show. But Brando’s concerns are moralistic ones; he is trying to distinguish between stuff that really matters and wasting time talking about himself or what someone else thinks of him etc. Why should that matter when there are larger issues at stake? I don’t think he means to disregard the host, he tries to show that in what he says, but he wants to get people thinking about what is right.

.. hmmm … I don’t know what you’re seeing here. Brando obviously makes for a very difficult, uncooperative interview who displays little regard for the host, although I don’t blame him for not liking Cavett’s questions and for wanting to discuss something more substantive than show business.
I love how Brando corrects Cavett at the end.
