05. Headlong (Brian May – Live in Tokyo, 13/11/1993)
NHK Hall, Tokyo (Japan) – November 13th, 1993 The third leg of Brian May’s “Back To The Light” tour started on 29th May 1993 in Cologne, Germany. Brian May played 52 concerts throughout the world, visiting Europe, Canada, United States and Japan. The setlist of the concerts is various: the introduction used to open the concert is the tape version of “The Dark”, followed by Queen classics like “Tie Your Mother Down”, “Headlong”, “Now I’m Here”, “We Will Rock You (Slow and Fast)” and “Hammer To Fall”; “Love Of My Life” is played as a tribute to Freddie Mercury. Seven songs from the new album “Back To The Light” are proposed in the basic lineup of concerts (“Back To The Light”, “Driven By You”, “Love Token”, “Let Your Heart Rule Your Head”, “Too Much Love Will Kill You” and “Resurrection” – which includes the Cozy Powell drum solo accompanied by the “1812 Overture”), with some exceptions on various dates. During the last of three concerts in Tokyo, Brian puts in the playlist “Teo Torriatte” (formerly played by Queen in Japan in 1979, 1981 and 1982) and “Let Me Out”, from “Star Fleet Project” album released in 1983.
