Im not full cherokee but my grandmother was 100% cherokee on my mothers side and my grandmother on my fathers side was1/2 im just as proud to be cherokee as my grandmothers now I have 4 children that are 1/2 hispanic and I live in alabama this state is trying to run out my childrens people form the land that the white man stole from our people in the first place thank you so much for the video it brought me up when I was feeling down
I loved this song when It came out. I was In high school then . Then you very much my friend for posting it. In Greece there are people who are interested to get to know more about native Indians and are appreciative or your pride and connection with nature and purity. Yes, We do expect that Cherokke people will return.
Love this video and song.I have Cherokee in me I am 100% sure I do and maybe choctaw Lineage as well I wont know for sure until my Aunt does some more research on our family.

This was my first vid on here. I googled and yahooed cherokee people and stuff and this is what I got. But I didn’t do to bad for a first time, yeah?
Ever heard of Karma? Forcing them to learn English is being Karmically returned by now forcing us to learn Spanish. I can’t be upset about it because it is a form of justice in my mind. I may not be Cherokee even in my ancestry, but my appreciation of this song is still the same as if I were. I have Crow, Blackfoot, and Creek in my lineage and the same was done to them by this country. “Maybe someday when they learn, Cherokee nation will return.”
This song was a hit when I was in high school.
I loved it at that time, and am glad to listen to it again, but I think the photos of Sitting Bull and tepees should not be here; they are of the Sioux Indians, not of the Cherokees.

I live in Australia and I listened to this song when it came out by Paul Revere and I have always loved it. I posted this on a US site for the many friends there to revisit.

I love the Cherokee culture. Oh, Another thing for me to do when I become a politician, give more control of the reservations to the Tribal Councils and donate money to help build up the economy there.
