Slavery never should have existed in this world…not only for africans,but for asians,hispanics,native americans or some whites.There is no excuse for it and clearly it doesn’t accomplish anything.

In some way it makes sence because they are not on Dutch soil, Dutch laws can’t be enforced on them. Doesn’t take away that its a shame it happened.
What I still wonder is: why, if we used “bling” to capture Africans, why do so many African Americans still act so cool with their “bling”?
Sick fact
While slavery was illegal in the Netherlands it was not illegal for Dutch traders to capture and sell slaves to foreign parties

The Muslims started the slave trade well before the europeans arrived there. The Muslims and the Kings and Princes of different tribes captured and sold black Africans to the Spanish and the Europeans. Why do blacks always put the whites as starting slavery? Get your history straight.

it is ridiculous to refer to the holocaust of africa as “the slave trade”, when really europeans and arabs actually stole 98.5% of the people.
examples, the historian, gave was the rapid growth of bristol, a bridge that was built there, birmingham (where the chains were made), liverpool. these places became cities (great) because of slave profit.
wether the historian was black or white I can’t recall and it doesn’t matter. I may add the link
it wasn’t only britain, examples of massive profits of slavery was shown in europe.
museum of central africa & palaces have been built on slave profit in belgium.
portugal and spain also.
The “great” in great britain does not mean it fantastic or brilliant etc, but because britain is made up of more than one country. eg manchester discribes the city but the area around manchester including other towns is called greater manchester
Too bad slavery isn’t around anymore , there are a lot of people still at the Dark Continent that would love for the boats to still be running . But alas the good ole days are gone . Of course the blessing of slavery would of been shut down fairly soon anyway cause do gooders don’t realize they are doing more harm than good . some African kings refused to sell any of their captives or criminals. King Jaja refused to do business with the slavers completely.
Jaja of Opobo, nigeria (1821–1891) refused to trade with british. The British invited Jaja to negotiations in 1887. When Jaja arrived, the British arrested him and tried him in Ghana. then took him to London. Later, he was exiled to the West Indies then in Barbados.
In 1891, Jaja was freed to return to Opobo, but was poisoned with a cup of tea on his way home.
