Steve Macias has a conversation with Amado M. Peña Jr. at the 2009 Gathering of Nations Pow Wow. The South Western Native Artist gives a candid and philosophical insight into his method and style of painting. Steve Macias is a former jet dragster driver turned associate producer,director, for Native Voice TV in San Jose, California. We’re trying to meet and help promote Indigenous people from the music, movie and entertainment industries as well as artists and craftsmen of Native art. We also keep the Native community up to date with local and national political issues that affect the Native community and interview guests who are active and involved with the issues of today.
Amado Peña Jr. is a Mestizo of Mexican and Yaqui,ancestry.
His father Amado Sr. is Mexican. His mother Maria is half Mexican and half Yaqui.
On April 26, 2000, Benito F. Valencia wrote and signed a certificate,
